Job News: 

Oxa is enabling the transition to self-driving vehicles and is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Trajectory Planning) to design, implement, test, and deploy algorithms for autonomous vehicle behavior.

Key Responsibilities:

– Collaborate with team members to solve spatio-temporal motion planning problems

– Work with the Decision Making team to create trajectory planning solutions

– Ensure smooth and precise maneuver execution in various environments

– Develop high-quality functionality and APIs for on-vehicle capabilities

– Measure and benchmark planner performance across AV platforms

– Engage with customers and stakeholders to ensure effective solutions

– Contribute to the engineering lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and maintenance

– Influence technical strategy and document team processes

– Participate in hiring and onboarding processes for new team members

Requirements:

– PhD in a related field with 2+ years of experience or MS with 4+ years of experience

– Extensive experience in optimization-based trajectory planning

– Familiarity with sampling-based trajectory planning approaches

– Modern C++ algorithm development experience in a production environment

– Experience in technical leadership or management

– Knowledge of Dynamic Programming and Model Predictive Control (MPC)

– Experience with algorithms like iLQR and RRT

– Understanding of vehicle dynamics and modeling

– Agility in fast-changing environments and a customer-centric outlook
