Job News:
ALS Laboratories is seeking a motivated Senior Service Engineer to provide technical support, preventive maintenance, and repair of analytical laboratory instrumentation, including GC/FID/MS, LC/MS, ICP/MS/OES, and IC. The candidate must be skilled in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and managing service requests.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete preventive maintenance, fault finding, and repairs for laboratory instrumentation
Manage and respond to work requests professionally
Maintain service documentation according to ALS’s Quality Management System
Work within the Analytical Service Engineering Team to ensure optimal service
Maintain a stock inventory of spare parts
Adhere to ALS and ISO Health & Safety procedures
Requirements:
HND or higher in Chemistry, Engineering, or a relevant scientific field (or equivalent experience)
Vendor-specific experience with instruments such as Agilent, Thermo, Waters, Varian, Dionex, Skalar
Experience in a similar role as a Service Engineer or in technical support
Experience in Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical Laboratories (advantageous)
Proficient IT skills and familiarity with instrument vendor software
Strong communication and multitasking skills
