Oxa is hiring a Senior Functional Safety Engineer to join their Safety Team. The role includes developing safety engineering approaches, ensuring compliance with standards like ISO 26262, performing safety analyses, managing safety requirements, and supporting cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop innovative safety engineering approaches
– Ensure product compliance with standards like ISO 26262, ISO/DIS 21448
– Implement verification and validation strategies for system safety
– Perform safety analyses using FTA, FMEA, STPA, and other methods
– Manage safety requirements and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
– Support safety assessments and audits
– Promote safety leadership culture within the organisation
Requirements:
– Strong understanding of safety and functional safety
– Proven experience in safety engineering and autonomous vehicle operations
– Familiarity with safety standards like ISO 26262 and PAS 21448
– Excellent communication skills and a proactive collaborative approach
– Experience with the full safety engineering lifecycle
– Previous work on vehicle autonomy or advanced ADAS programs (L3)
– Background in Software Engineering or Robotics
