Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain livestock performance records
- Keep records of all feeding done on a daily basis
- Feed and tend to hogs
- Detect disease and treat certain herd health problems
- Set and monitor temperature and conditions in barns
- Clean and maintain barns and livestock
- Supervise general farm workers, as needed
- Follow safety and bio security procedures
- Castrate, wean, vaccinate sows, hogs and litters
Qualifications:
- excellent problem solving skills
- must be able to work alternating weekends
- strong communication skills
- must we able to work well with others, as well as alone
- take initiative, attention to detail
