Key Responsibilities
- As a healthcare Assistant you will be expected to work within our dedicated multi-disciplinary teams and be involved in providing individualized care, assisting with patient hygiene and dressing, and meeting nutritional needs whilst maintaining their dignity and respect.
- Contributing to the safety and cleanliness of the environment whilst keeping good documentation.
- Under the supervision of a registered nurse to assist with patient care activities.
- To maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- To carry out any tasks required to maintain the safety, cleanliness and tidiness of the ward area.
- To carry out duties as required, meeting all aspects of ward catering.
- To carry out routine household management/maintenance activities.
- To maintain patient dignity.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals in order to provide patients with exceptional care.
Requirements:
- Awareness and understanding of importance of confidentiality
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrate interest in healthcare services
- Caring / supportive attitude
- Knowledge of Infection Control & Safeguarding processes
- A good understanding of patients with mental health illness
