Position: Maintenance General Worker

Salary Range: $27K – $43K/yr
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repair:
- Assist skilled workers in repairing and maintaining district facilities, including woodwork, electrical fixtures, plumbing, and glass replacement.
- Conduct inspections of building exteriors, interiors, playground equipment, and grounds, performing maintenance and minor repairs as needed.
- Identify and report major repairs required for building structures and systems.
- Complete repairs as requested on work orders or by maintenance foreman.
- Assist in mowing and maintaining district grounds.
- Aid in the relocation of furnishings and equipment.
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Qualification:
- High School Diploma or GED
Requirements:
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Knowledge of basic construction, routine maintenance, and repair procedures
- Effective communication skills (verbal)
- Proficiency in operating hand and power tools
- Ability to work independently
- One year of experience in general building maintenance
- Valid Texas driver’s licence
