Position: Electrician (Low Voltage Switchgear)

Pay: Up to €28.26 an hour
Full Time
Standard work hours: 39 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 07:30 17:30
Voluntary overtime on Friday, early close at 13:00 (overtime paid at 1.5x)
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture high quality switchgear units for clients.
- Interpret and implement schematic and mechanical drawings accurately.
- Conduct thorough testing of switchgear products and identify potential faults.
- Repair and modify electronic automated systems.
- Ensure meticulous maintenance of all company equipment.
- Supervise and mentor apprentices, providing on the job training.
- Provide guidance and leadership to General Operatives.
- Adhere rigorously to health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Demonstrates initiative and operates to exacting standards.
- Critical thinker, adept at problem solving efficiently.
- Proficient in reading and understanding technical drawings.
- Driven by achieving optimal results.
- Efficient time manager, consistently meeting deadlines.
- Supportive and capable of mentoring apprentice staff.
- Thrives in a collaborative team environment
Qualifications:
- National craft certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Previous handson experience with Low Voltage Switchgear, MCC, Power Factor Correction (PFC), control equipment, or PDCs is essential.
- Practical expertise in electrical fault finding techniques.
- Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
- 5 years experience (preferred)
