Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in coordinating and managing domiciliary care services, ensuring alignment with individual care plans, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the allocation of care staff to clients, considering skill levels, experience, and client preferences.
  • Regularly review care plans and risk assessments, adjusting as needed to meet changing needs.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to care staff, fostering a positive working culture based on teamwork, respect, and professionalism.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of care staff, including conducting interviews, inductions, and facilitating training and development.
  • Conduct regular supervision, appraisals, and performance management of care staff, addressing issues constructively and promptly.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance systems to ensure high quality care services that meet regulatory standards and contractual requirements.
  • Conduct audits, spot checks, and service evaluations to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice guidelines, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
  • Build positive and collaborative relationships with clients, their families, and other stakeholders, ensuring their needs, preferences, and feedback are considered and acted upon.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to complaints, concerns, and compliments, seeking resolution and learning opportunities.
  • Work with the Registered Manager to identify opportunities for service expansion, development, and improvement based on market trends and client demand.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within the domiciliary care sector is preferred.
  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care (or working towards) is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, such as CQC standards and legislation relevant to domiciliary care services in the UK.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Good organisational and problem solving abilities, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to service delivery.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Care Coordinator: 2 years (required)
  • Fluent English Speaker (required)
  • Driving Licence (required)
