Position: Band 6 Senior Dietitian

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide varied and interesting clinical work across multiple settings, including homes, care homes, day centres, and schools.
- Collaborate with General Practice, Community Health Professionals, and other stakeholders to promote malnutrition screening and a ‘food first’ approach.
- Review the use of prescribable products and support appropriate prescribing.
- Develop and deliver training sessions on malnutrition and home enteral feeding.
Requirements:
- Flexible approach to managing changing work priorities.
- Excellent team working and communication skills.
- Effective organisational and time management strategies.
- Clinical experience managing patients with complex needs, ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, understanding of audit and clinical effectiveness.
- Broad clinical knowledge of the specialty.
- Reliable, punctual, professional, good team member, computer literacy, ability to manage a busy workload, valid driving licence, and vehicle for work purposes.
- Enthusiasm and motivation to work at UHB, demonstrates Trust values of Kind, Connected, & Bold.
- Requires a DBS disclosure to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics (BSc, PG Diploma, or MSc), HCPC registration, evidence of CPD.
- Membership in the British Dietetic Association (BDA) and relevant specialist interest groups.
