Salary: £22,816  £24,336 per year  

Job Type: Part time

JOB NEWS

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and facilitate daily activities for patients on the ward.
  • Collaborate with ward therapy and nursing teams to create individualised and group activity programs.
  • Organise and facilitate offward activities as appropriate.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings, to support patient recovery through varied activities.
  • Engage creatively with young people with mental health issues, assessing risks and developing engaging activities.
  • Operates under the guidance of a registered Occupational Therapist (OT) and Ward Manager.
  • Deliver therapeutic activities within the ward and the local community.
  • Use initiative to motivate and engage patients in activities.
  • Maintain a respectful, nonjudgmental, and creative approach to patient care.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with guidance from senior staff.
  • Creativity in developing engaging activities for young people.
  • Experience in mental health care is desirable but not essential.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Respectful and nonjudgmental attitude.
