Are you a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher who’s looking for an exciting new chapter in your career? Our network comprises of Melbourne’s most prestigious and forward-thinking schools, who are committed to providing an exceptional educational experience to students with diverse learning needs.
We are recruiting for up to 300 teaching positions with sponsorship available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs, ensuring that each student’s educational goals are being met.
- Provide differentiated instruction and accommodations to students with a range of learning disabilities and developmental delays.
- Assess and evaluate student progress regularly, adjusting teaching strategies as needed to ensure academic success.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, counsellors, and other specialists to create and implement effective support strategies.
- Participate in professional development activities and stay current on best practices in special education, including laws and regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education (minimum 4-year degree)
- At least 2 years of post qualified teaching experience
- Eligibility for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Education transcripts can be provided when required
- Be able to provide contact details for two education-based referee’s from the last 2 years (student teacher mentors are acceptable)
