ALS Laboratories is seeking a Deputy Principal Scientist for the Organics team in Coventry. This role involves developing methodologies for the Organic department, resolving potential issues, and maintaining ALS at the forefront of technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop methodologies for the Organic department and ensure smooth integration into routine use
Proactively identify and resolve potential issues
Implement innovative solutions and procedures
Provide marketing literature for new methodologies
In-depth knowledge of instrument software
Train team members
Adhere to Health and Safety policies
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and specifications
Work with the team to improve safety and health standards
Requirements:
Degree or equivalent in a related subject area
In-depth knowledge of analytical and instrumentation techniques (GC, GCMS, LCMS)
Experience in developing and validating methods to meet ISO 17025 standards
Experience in training and competency assessment
Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills
Proficient in IT and communication
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
