Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Mentoring: Assist the Management Team in supervising the department by mentoring, teaching, assigning duties, recognizing, supervising, and communicating with hourly associates.
- Merchandise Ordering: Ensure timely ordering of merchandise.
- Pricing Accuracy: Maintain zero pricing errors through the Scanning Credibility Program.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, and managing sell by and expiration dates.
- Sanitation: Follow food safety, handling procedures, and sanitation/cleaning protocols.
- Pricing and Inventory Management: Execute markups/markdowns, price changes, signage, clearance, and competitive pricing strategies.
- Customer Service: Address customer complaints, examine returned merchandise, and resolve issues to maintain good public relations.
- Follow departmental budgets, including the shrink budget.
Qualifications:
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Relevant experience is preferred but not mandatory.
