Job News:
Oxa is enabling the transition to self-driving vehicles and is looking for a Prototype Autonomous Vehicle Engineer to build and maintain test vehicles and integrate systems for real-world testing.
Key Responsibilities:
– Build, convert, upgrade, and commission autonomous test prototypes
– Maintain the test fleet, perform safety checks, and conduct ADAS sensor tests
– Assist with new sensor hardware installations and prepare vehicles for tests
– Perform the role of Safety Driver in test vehicles
– Document vehicle build manuals and modifications
Requirements:
– Full automotive mechanic qualifications
– Previous experience in prototype builds and automotive electronics
– Experience building and modifying vehicles and/or prototype electronic installations
– Full driving licence
– Ability to debug electrical and hardware issues on vehicles
Extra kudos if you have:
– Experience with ADAS systems and automotive electrical systems
– Knowledge of CAN and vehicle diagnostics
– Experience supporting motorsport vehicles or field testing in autonomous vehicles
– Skills in reading engineering drawings and working with 3D printing or fabrication
