Job Description
The Family Child Care Provider will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in the employer’s home. The role involves a variety of tasks aimed at supporting the children’s physical, emotional, and social development.
Requirements
– Languages : Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
– Education: No standard educational qualification such as a degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
– Experience : Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months.
– Security and Safety: Reference required.
Physical Requirements
– Efficiently handle repetitive tasks and work effectively under pressure.
– Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
– Capable of handling weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
Other Requirements
– Prioritize client focus and possess efficient interpersonal skills.
– Demonstrate flexibility and initiative.
– Maintain organization and reliability.
– Excel in time management.
Candidate Status
– Eligibility : Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada.
– International Candidates : Candidates without a valid Canadian work permit can also apply.
Responsibilities
– Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
– Travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
– Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children.
– Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
– Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
– Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
– Organize activities such as games and outings for children.
– Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
– Prepare infants and children for rest periods.
– Supervise and care for children.
– Tend to the emotional well-being of children.
– Help children with homework.
