About This Role :

Wells Fargo is seeking a Branch Small Business Banker (SAFE) in Consumer and Small Business Banking, as part of Branch Banking. This role involves acting as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of small business customers, building and growing relationships, and engaging with customers to understand their financial needs.

Key Responsibilities :

– Manage a portfolio of small business customers with annual gross sales between $100k and $1MM.

– Build and grow relationships with new and existing customers through proactive outreach, phone or in-person visits, and plan and execute appointments.

– Participate in community organizations and build relationships with centers of influence.

– Collaborate with branch employees and partners to meet customers’ broader financial needs.

– Engage with customers throughout the business life cycle, identifying credit, deposit, and servicing processing needs.

– Conduct needs-based conversations, explain, and demonstrate self-service mobile options.

– Serve as a leader in managing risk and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

– Comply with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations.

– Meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO).

Qualifications :

– 2+ years of branch small business banking experience or equivalent.

– Experience managing a dedicated book of small business customers.

– Knowledge and understanding of bank lending programs, credit policies, and specialty products.

– Customer service focus with experience handling complex transactions.

– Proficiency in sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues.

– Knowledge of retail compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention.

– Ability to educate customers on mobile banking options.

– Strong communication skills with integrity and professionalism.

– High motivation with ability to meet team objectives while maintaining individual performance.

– Experience mentoring and peer-coaching others.

– Ability to manage expectations and conduct follow-ups with customers and partners.

– Relevant military experience is a plus.

– Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
