Key Responsibilities:
– Manage and coordinate the ocean import process for all shipments.
– Collaborate with customers to obtain shipping instructions and necessary documentation.
– Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and other service providers for bookings and shipment monitoring.
– Prepare and submit import documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations.
– Coordinate with customs brokers for smooth customs clearance.
– Track and monitor shipment milestones, providing timely updates to stakeholders.
– Address and resolve any operational issues during the import process.
– Ensure accurate data entry and maintain proper documentation.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and customer satisfaction.
– Stay updated on industry regulations, market trends, and best practices in ocean freight forwarding and customs compliance.
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in supply chain, logistics, or international trade is a plus.
– 2-3 years of proven experience in ocean freight forwarding, specifically in import operations.
– In-depth knowledge of import regulations, customs compliance, and documentation requirements.
– Strong understanding of ocean carriers, freight forwarding, and international trade practices.
– CW1 experience is an advantage.
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
