Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with rising from bed, washing, dressing, bathing, and general hygiene.
- Aid in washing, toileting, hair washing, and shaving for male residents.
- Observe and report any significant changes in residents’ well being to the Senior Carer/Nurse on duty.
- Attend sick residents, serving meals on trays, washing and combing hair, and other hygiene tasks.
- Use manual handling equipment for residents.
- Assist residents in retiring to bed.
- Serve meals and assist dependent residents, such as cutting food or feeding.
- Ensure residents’ clothing is well cared for, including marking, repairing, and ensuring adequacy.
- Assist residents with purchasing small items with approval from the Senior Carer on duty.
- Accompany and assist residents on trips, outings, and hospital appointments.
- Engage with residents by talking, reading, writing letters, and participating in activities.
- Participate in fire drills and activities such as music, reading, games, and parties.
- Provide periodic reports to assist in residents’ reviews.
- Take responsibility for a group of residents as a Primary Worker.
- Care for residents’ spectacles, hearing aids, dentures, etc., and report any loss or damage.
- Clean footwear, commodes, wheelchairs, and walking aids.
- Good command of both written and verbal English

Qualifications:
Educated to GCSE level
1+ years of working in care (desirable)
