Key Responsibilities:
- Contact current and prospective clients to identify needs for existing and new products.
- Respond to and process incoming calls and orders.
- Open new accounts and maintain the existing customer base.
- Make proactive outbound calls.
- Stay informed about current and new products.
- Provide pricing quotations and follow up on quotes.
- Offer basic technical support on products.
- Build strong relationships for repeat business opportunities.
- Liaise with suppliers on project and non stocking product opportunities.
Requirements:
- Postsecondary education.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Previous sales/inside sales experience in the Canadian Electrical Industry is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to develop long term client relationships.
- Highly professional approach to business.
- Exceptional organisational skills, ability to multitask, and attention to detail.
- Technical proficiency to quickly learn and understand products.
- Ability to develop quotations and project bid packaging/pricing/presentations.
- Knowledge of the electrical industry is an asset.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed and a strong sense of team spirit.
