Key Responsibilities:
- Check and adjust climate control, lights, and alarm clocks
- Ensure T.V. remote controls work and report broken items
- Update the compendium binder and draw shears
- Check room supplies, empty trash, and contact Room Service for dish removal
- Strip and inspect beds, change soiled bed pads, and turn mattresses
- Make beds according to hotel standards
- Clean glass surfaces, mirrors, and shower walls
- Dust and polish furniture and fixtures
- Vacuum carpets and report stains
- Clean basins, fixtures, pipes, shower heads, tiles, bathtubs, and toilets
- Replace toilet rolls and tissues, sweep and wash bathroom floors
- Replace soiled linens and provide laundry bags and slips
- Sign in and out for keys and devices as per Resort procedures
- Report and deliver found items to the Supervisor
- Lock and secure rooms for guest safety
- Maintain confidentiality regarding guest information
- Verify room status and note discrepancies
- Follow Hotel Policies and Procedures and other management tasks
- Maintain a professional appearance as per company grooming policy
- Provide superior customer service and promote good employee relations
- Report room deficiencies to Supervisor
- Clean Public Areas and deliver guest requested items
Requirements:
- Clean criminal history certificate annually
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and dependable work ethic
- Good verbal and written English communication skills
- Good time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to safely push/pull a 50lbs cart and manoeuvre in all directions
- Ability to bend, reach, twist, and stretch safely
- Frequent lifting and moving of housekeeping supplies and equipment up to 50lbs
- Ability to perform tasks requiring frequent use of hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, and back
- Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
- Use of proper Personal Protective Equipment and cleaning supplies
- French language skills (verbal and written) are an asset
- Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Casino Rama policies
- Demonstrate a positive health and safety attitude
