Position: Safety Security Officer

Salary: $30 per hour
Hours: 20 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce company safety policies and procedures, controlling access to the building.
- Issue and manage employee ID cards, building access cards, and keys.
- Monitor surveillance equipment and respond to suspicious activity.
- Patrol premises to identify security risks.
- Respond to safety incidents and emergencies, including evacuations and first aid.
- Prepare the main office facility for meetings, rentals, and events.
- Oversee the Riverhead vehicle fleet maintenance.
- Provide telephone reception service and clerical/administrative support.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Windows based software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to plan and organise work responsibilities effectively.
- High integrity, sound judgement, and confidentiality.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and with diverse audiences.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with NYS Archives Department requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, and Zoom.
