Key Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming calls on the helpdesk and assign work to appropriate individuals
- Manage facility requests through email correspondence
- Generate weekly reports on helpdesk activity and callouts from the command centre
- Ensure accuracy of job reports and timesheets through verification processes
- Procure necessary materials to support timely job completion
- Raise and issue purchase orders as needed
- Take ownership of maintenance administration to uphold departmental standards
- Ensure accurate processing of paperwork and timely data input into the IT system
- Develop and implement efficient work practices to support business activities
- Act as a reliable backup to the maintenance manager and helpdesk function
- Communicate effectively with clients to address issues and complaints
Requirements:
- Experience in a fast paced office environment, with previous helpdesk experience preferred
- Flexibility and excellent social skills are essential for this role
- Strong interaction, organisation, and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and diligent with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Good telephone etiquette and communication skills for effective client liaison
