Job Description: 

  • The University of Reading hosts a diverse range of events, from webinars and networking sessions to international chapter gatherings, engaging thousands of participants annually, crucial to our broader Engagement Strategy. We seek an organised, adaptable, and dedicated Events Assistant to join our dynamic team, aiding in the coordination and execution of these activities for our alumni, supporters, and students.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in event planning, marketing, on-site coordination, and post-event evaluation 
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail and organisational skills 
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels 
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment 
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for continual learning and development 
  • Flexibility and adaptability in approach to tasks 
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English 
  • Competence in IT tools such as Zoom, MS Word, Excel, and Teams
